We Cooked an Odopus in Sunday School.
September 22, 2008
I taught the 2-4 Sunday School class yesterday, and before we started, the kids were playing with the kitchen toys. We also had some figures of TV characters, like Cookie Monster, Big Bird, and Pearl (the octopus from finding Nemo). Our student Boris goes to the basket of toys, picks up a spatula, frying pan, and Pearl, then goes to the table and declares, “I’m going to cook!” so I asked him what he was cooking, and he answers, “ODOPUS!” and puts Pearl into the frying pan and pretends to slice her up with his spatula.
Just sharing.
Things like that make Sunday School lots of fun. haha!
That was the first time I taught alone, and I don’t think I’m going to do that again. My co-teacher couldn’t teach with me because she was part of the group holding auditions for our Christmas play. Our lead teacher offered to ask his brother to help me, but I refused because I thought I’d get conscious if someone else was with me. So yeah. It was a little chaotic in the beginning, and our Sunday School head had to come in and save me a few times. Plus I wasn’t expecting ten kids. I was expecting, I dunno, three.
) Because lately there haven’t been a lot of kids in our class. They settled down during activity time though. All in all it wasn’t so bad. I don’t think I’m ready to handle the class by myself though. Next time, I will not refuse help. XD
More Walls to Climb.
August 23, 2008
We went wall climbing again, and this time I got to the top of the intermediate wall! Yay! Okay, so I haven’t reached the top yet in this picture, but I did get there!
) Oh yay.
I also learned how to belay, which turned out to be just as hard as climbing the wall. Plus the climber’s life is in your hands, so if he breaks his neck, or whatever, it’s your fault. Lagot. XD
And all I can say about this photo is: My legs look fat. Hahaha. It’s still cool though, because I got that far. So whatever about my fat legs. XD

Wall Climbing. FUN.
July 22, 2008
Haha, yeah. I went wall climbing at Power UP at Silver City with my family a few days ago. It was fun! YAY. And it’s awesome, because the place is right across the street from our house. So my sister and I are planning to go back this week. And every week. It can be like, PE for us.
It’s tiring, and the first time I tried the beginner wall, I didn’t reach the top, and I got dizzy on the way down. So really. If you’re going to be climbing down from anything, DON’T LOOK DOWN. I had to sit down for a while before I could go again.
It was easier the next time I tried though. And I didn’t look down on the way down, so I didn’t get dizzy anymore. Hahaha.
i’m going back because it was lots of fun. :p
Here are some pictures.
